"They have the right to call you DA'd."
But do they announce it publicly?
That is a humungous question for my case.

Here is my answer to refute all of this:
1. Where ever two or more of you are gathered in my name, there I am in your midst.
2. Paul, who was a FDS in his time, praised the Berians for doing their own independent research on his talks to make sure he was not lying to them.
3. Use your powers of reasoning.
4. Paul quit thinking like a babe and began thinking like a man. Babies need to be told everything. Adults do their own thinking.
5. Make sure of all things. Hold fast to what is true. I am sure that the word "make sure" is a verb requiring action on our part.
6. Keep on exhorting one another and building one another up all the more so as the end draws near. Or some such thing.
7. Pray for understanding and then the one who answers in secret will...do something like make your paths straight. I don't have a Bible with me.
8. The holy spirit will guide or direct you. I'm sure there is a scripture that supports this.
9. Do not be lording it over the congregation. Too much control and bossiness by elders.
10. ...those lead along by every wind of teaching.
11. Blind guides and followers. They follow each other into a pit.
12. One man sharpens the face of another.
There is more but I can't remember all of the scriptures that flat out prove their counsel wrong. Too many to count.

i guess that i can say, from a biblical viewpoint, anyone that practices "fornication", having sex without being married, would be "immoral".
other than, i don't lie or cheat or steal or even kill anyone else!
do you view yourself a "moral" or "immoral" person and why?
Although I allow myself to do more so-called immoral things now than when I was a JW, I am actually more moral now because I have stopped judging people and am working on just getting along. I feel like I am a better person now than then. I am able to unconditionally love people, whereas before, I only loved other JW's.

I did not and do not steal, cheat, lie (except about not being in the truth to my family), murder, or truly hate anyone. I don't think what you do with your body is moral or immoral because it is no one's business. I don't believe it falls under the category of morality.

dear nurturing and caring friends,.
apart from religion - if that is where you are at this time in your personal development - do you have younger companions whom you view as "spiritual children"?
some whom you watch after and advise [with prudence and caution, of course], whose successful life course is of intense concern to you?.
My daughter and I are spiritual. My son couldn't give a fig about religion or spirituality. He just goes to church for the socialization. My daughter and I only visit churches to see what they are like. We are both pagan but curious about what was kept from us for so long as JW's.
how often do you hear about prayer at the meeting that, if you should pray that if jehovah wills that he should do something?
to me, this is a total waste of time to pray if that condition applies.
you see, if jehovah willed something, why would he need to wait for you to ask him for it?
One more note on praying for God to fix your messes: Quit being so damned dependent! Co-dependency on anyone is a cultish attribute, so knock it off! God needs us to worship him so he will feel big and important. We need God to fix our messes. Co-dependency is a disorder. Try praying to yourself and come up with solutions to your problems and see if your prayers don't get answered 100%. I started praying to myself and now all of my prayers are answered!

Prayer is theraputic but also a copout by people not wanting to take 100% responsibility for their actions. If you enter the military, you must be prepared to die at some point, so why pray to live if dying is just part of the job? Uh-oh, I screwed up again. Please God save me from myself! Just live consciensiously and responsibly and you up the chance of not needing God to fix your messes. Drowning? Know your limits and take precautions. Illness? God doesn't save anyone or there would not be any early deaths by accidents. Shit happens. Be prepared to fix it or accept it.
is it me or do some of you get the "willies" when you hear the term "governing body" and it is not attributed to the watchtower society.
i hear and read that term all the time, in regards to businesses.. rr.

I'm a brand new pagan and the name Jesus makes me
my mom learned the truth 40+ years ago from my uncles and some people in europe.
she has been going regularly since 1978 or so.. lately she's been going to some meetings only due to health.. yesterday at noon she got a visit from the p.o.
and he made a "pastoral visit".
Here is an argument that I will use someday: In the word generation is the word "gene" which signifies something biological and living whether it be human, plant, or animal. I say that you can't have a generation without genes involved. That means that that word is confined to living beings and not an empty timeline. Doesn't the definition of generation itself mean a lifetime and not just unspecified time? A generation is specific enough for anyone to believe it is saying one lifetime, period!
